My Unintentionally Natural Baby

Yes, she's here! After much impatience, we're proud to present our new girl!

Miss June Ellison Bagley
Born June 23, 2011 at 7:55pm
6lbs 9oz; 18.75 inches

Here's a few pictures of our hospital stay.

On the way home!

Once she decided to come, she came quick. No time for an epidural. I'm glad a had the experience of going natural, but I don't ever plan on doing it again.

Lizzy missed us at home, but she seems to be okay with her baby sister. Although she loved all the perks of her mom getting hospital food. I think she had three cartons of chocolate milk in my 36 hour stay.

Dallin's just loving it all.

Sherlock Holmes

I spent about two and a half years reading the entire Sherlock Holmes collection. I really enjoyed them and became a little bit of a Sherlock Holmes enthusiast.

I started watching for anything related to the matter. I watched a few episodes of an old Sherlock Holmes from BBC, and got really excited when I heard they were making a movie. I really enjoyed the movie, and look forward to number 2 this year.

I had heard about a new Sherlock Holmes that was being broadcast on PBS last year, but, being a little bit of a purist, decided to not to watch it because it was a set in our time and not the late 1880's. Well Sunday being Father's Day, Betsy told me I could watch something I wanted to watch, and not what she wanted to watch(this doesn't happen very often right now because she is 9 months pregnant), so we decided to give this a try since it was on Netflix instant play.

As you can tell, since I found it Blog worthy, I really liked these episodes, and feel that there are by far my favorite Sherlock Holmes on screen stories. If any of you get the chance I highly recommend that you sit down and watch these and get excited for more episodes to come.

Kate and Nick

Kate and Nick just made a visit to our neck of the woods for a few days. We had a great time. One of the days we decided to have ice cream for lunch. Everyone enjoyed the Vermonster.

Nick is really excited to get started on this. Everything you see on top is just sprinkles on top of one and a half inches of whip cream.

Here is the mangled mess of ice cream, brownies, bananas, cookies, hot fudge, caramel, walnuts, almonds, oreos, reeses pieces, and whip cream. This is when it gets really good, when the ice cream is melting and everything just mixes together. We highly recommend this if you ever get the chance.

We were unable to finish off the Vermonster the last time we tried, but this time we had a secret weapon, my sister Amy. Amy made sure that, while Nick and I were sitting there stuffed with ice cream, every last drop was gone.

Waiting. . .

I wish doctors wouldn't say things like, "She could come any day," and "I'll be surprised if you make it to your next appointment."
I've heard both.

Highlights (Part 2)

. . . and we return.

We went back to Sand Beach on a warmer afternoon.
Lizzy was thrilled with the sand!

Dallin and Lizzy braving the cold waves.

Sunset on the Harbor.

We took a boat tour on Lulu's Lobster Boat.

This is Captain John, holding a fresh lobster.
He knew all sorts of interesting lobster and non-lobster facts.

It got foggy, but Lulu was able to get close enough to see the lighthouse.
And the white spots on the rocks are seals.

The sleeping kiddos, Lizzy and Annie.
Between Dramamine and the boat rocking, Lizzy had no hope.

The end of our trip was full of fog.
Dallin on the rocks at Bass Harbor.

This is a natural sea wall. Beautiful, but I almost didn't make it.

There were millions of spiders in the rocks, big ones.
I am apparently more arachnophobic than I thought.

The end.
