Christmas Blog

Yes. That is the most creative title I could come up with for this post. Deal with it.
And I hope everyone had a very lovely and merry Christmas.

We know we had a good one.

Just as a warning, I received a new camera lens for Christmas, so there are many, many pictures to come. . . and many, many more that I am not showing you.

Lizzy's first Christmas present. Shoes. Very exciting.

Christmas morning with Grandpa Bagley.

And of course Lizzy loved the boxes.

Dallin's parents have a chair that is just Lizzy's size. She was crazy about it.

Climbing in and out all day.

Opening more gifts.

Clara got a whale trainer outfit for Christmas.
She developed a love for whales at Sea World this summer.

The post-present daze.

Little Luke. Look at those ears!

Merry Christmas -- even though it's gone.

It Finally Snowed!

Lizzy and I celebrated by staying home all day.

Have I mentioned I hate driving in the snow?

More Visitors

We love having visitors. My parents made it up for a quick weekend. It was a busy weekend -- but alas, I only took pictures at the Teddy Bear Factory.

Remind me to take more pictures at Christmas.

Thanksgiving Celebration

This is how our celebration started. It's Dallin's and Lizzy's favorite activity. Lizzy likes the water and Dallin likes to see how many letters he can fit on her head. She strangely resembles Marvin the Martian.

Dallin played football with some guys from the ward. I'm sure he had fun. He came home muddy and is very sore. (He's the one trying to intercept in the red shirt.)

Lizzy watching her Dad.

Dallin, dutifully waving to his daughter.

After four days of cooking -- the first Thanksgiving dinner I've made myself (Dallin did help a little). The turkey was pretty.

Lizzy was ready to eat.

And enjoying.

As we were cleaning up, Lizzy decided to help by emptying the cupboard. At least it kept her busy.

The helpful husband.

And bowling. In my life, Thanksgiving isn't complete without bowling. We really did terrible, but looked good doing it.

And Lizzy loved all the balls.

P.S. We are fully aware of our obsession with taking pictures of Lizzy. We are fully aware of the situation and it cannot be helped. We appreciate your cooperation.

A Milestone

It's a first for us. Dallin and I actually finished a game of Scrabble.

Oh, yeah. And I won.

Visit from Grandma Bagley

We had a fun but short visit from my mom. Lizzy had a great time with
grandma and is very excited to see her again for Christmas.

We'll be sure to take more pictures next time.
Thanks for visiting Mom.

Happy Halloween

We had a pretty uneventful holiday (Lizzy was in bed by 6:30pm). But we did make it to a ward party on Wednesday (of which we only took pictures of Lizzy) and visited cousins in costume.

Lizzy's happy face.
She actually likes her costume.

We had to let you get a good look at the wonderful tights the costume came with.

A very tired Lizzy at the ward party.
Please notice the telltale velvet blue curtains of the Cultural Hall.

The cousins.
Out of all the pictures we took, this was one of the few where all three kids are almost holding still.
Sorry for the blur Sam.

We just couldn't take enough pictures of her as our bee.
We might have to wear it a few more times -- just for kicks.

Fall Discoveries

Everyone always talks about New England, and Vermont, falls. We're trying to take advantage of it. Lizzy and I were shown an awesome park last week in Jericho. We decided to go exploring a little more today while we had a little sunshine.

Our "before" picture.

Now for some of our discoveries.
(Please excuse my very unprofessional photography. I wish I could do the fall justice.)

A lot of the trees have changed, but many are still green. I like the mixture.
It makes things "pop!"

You enter the park through a darling little bridge.
There are all sorts of bridges in Vermont.
I'm not used to living by so many rivers.

More water. A cute little pond.
Please note the nice blue sky. It didn't last long.

A red leaf.
We discovered many, many leaves.

I really liked this path.
It wasn't the most colorful, but it smelled like rotting leaves -- like fall.

Aren't they pretty? They're so perfectly whispy.

Mount Mansfield.
It's the tallest mountain in Vermont -- if it can be considered a mountain.
I still have my doubts.

A large, very fuzzy caterpillar.
Lizzy and I named him Tigger.

Lizzy on my back. Not an easy picture to take.
Notice the string of drool.

Pop!

Isn't it a cute little fungus? And look how pretty the moss is.

Vermont colors.

My attempt to get a picture of Lizzy and me.
I think it turned out pretty good.
