The Nativity Cast.

The Angel.

Christmas Morning.
Not quite awake yet.

Giving kisses to the favorite gift -- a duck.

More sledding!

She felt better once she got a snowball.

See.
Happy again.

Santa Claus

Merry Christmas
Lizzy's first experience with Santa Claus was a success, she doesn't understand that we sit on Santa's lap to tell him what we want for Christmas, but she sat there while I took pictures.

Wicked New England Wind Storm

We had a pretty crazy wind storm here yesterday afternoon. Betsy and I stood at our back door watching the 80 foot tall trees sway back and forth at least thirty feet. As they would sway branches would come flying off and land on our roof (making napping for Lizzy difficult). We had some trees fall down on our road, and then when we drove down our street this morning we saw just how many trees came down, some of them on some homes in the neighborhood. We went around taking pictures this morning of the damage. They actually closed our street for a little while.

Thanksgiving Guests

We loved having Jack and his parents visit for a few days and eat turkey with us.
(Jack really liked the jello.)
I didn't take very many pictures -- again -- but I really liked this one of Jack.

This was an attempt to get a picture of Lizzy and Jack together. This is as close as Lizzy would get to him, unless she was taking his toys.
Oh, Lizzy.
Guess we need to work on that cousin thing some more.

Curious George

Lizzy loves Curious George, all TV for that matter, she is always asking for "T.B." If we let her she could sit for hours and watch.

She will sit anywhere.

Sometimes she likes to lay down and cover herself with the blanket.

She can get pretty intense looks.

But she also finds George extremely funny

A Vermont Necessity. . .

This is the season that apple picking is the main topic of conversation amongst Vermonters. There are several orchards where you can pick your own.

They even provide optimum apple picking tools -- to ensure you get the best apples -- cause every one knows the apples at the top of the tree are always the best -- the ones right out of reach.
(And my dad always looking spiffy in the appropriate attire.)

Come to find out, my dad's actually an old pro at this. He picked apples "professionally" as a kid.

Obviously, anything having to do with food is Lizzy's favorite activity.

Lizzy and I made another trip to Utah.
Unfortunately, we both got sick and only had two good days.

But we did get to meet this little thing. . .

Lizzy was pretty intrigued by Annie (or Baby Ruth as we've trained Lizzy to call her new cousin). Annie's quite the sweetie.

Our other good day was spent at Discovery Gateway.
(This was a turtle costume.)

And then we walked to Temple Square.

Lizzy's really into the temple right now.
She told me it was "big" and the she wanted to "touch" it.

Dallin's Donut Day

Yes he did.
Dallin made it to 30!

To celebrate, we made donuts.
It was a full day of doughing and frying, but delicious.

The donut thief.
We heard, "Mmm," in the other room. When we asked Lizzy what she was eating, she answered, "Bread!" She had been sneaking finished donuts off the table while we were in the kitchen.

Perfection! (Or at least not bad for the first attempt.)

Post-party Dallin, watching football. The perfect birthday -- donuts and football.
Happy Birthday Dallin!

Snow, Cheese, and House

Lizzy has some pretty fun expression with some of her words; "snow" is one of our favorites -- and "house" is pretty good too. The "cheese" is because she saw me taking pictures of her.

Tricycle Adventures

Some generous Vermonter left some toys at the curbside for free.
We picked up this awesome old school tricycle. Lizzy loves her new "bike."

The curse of the short Bagley legs.
She can't reach the pedals yet.

So came the invention of the rope.

Soon the rope was the main attraction.

As much as Lizzy likes the bike, she loves running -- away.

Summer Fun

It's time to play catch up.

We've been busy and had so many visitors --
and I've been enjoying it all instead of taking pictures.

But here's a couple -- just for a brief update.

Lizzy and cousin Sam watching the 4th of July Parade.
They even had a lawn chair brigade.
Cooler than it sounds.

Lizzy making the best of rainy days -- splashing in the "wa-wa."

Pool time.

Maga and Boppa came to visit new baby James. (Sorry, not a good pic of the new kiddo.)
It was so great to have them here -- and I think they enjoyed the grandchildren.

More counsins!
Jack, Drew, and Brittany came for a night. Ben and Jerry's was a must because of this. . .

The Vermonster! 20 scoops of ice cream, caramel and chocolate sauce, 4 bananas, 4 cookies, 1 brownie, walnuts, Reese's Pieces, gummy bears (wouldn't recommend those), Oreos, and a top layer of whip cream! (Drew, let me know if I left something out.) All in a one gallon bucket. It was wonderful -- and we all felt ill after. We even declined the free sample at the end of the tour.

And last, but definitely not least -- Dallin's summer project. With a little help from Nate, Dallin built the bottom deck. I didn't get a "before" picture, but I like the "after" better anyway.
