We Are A Happy Family

For those of you who don't know (and I bet most of you don't), Dallin really enjoys singing and making up his own words to songs. One that he sings is the Primary song, "We Are A Happy Family." Before Eliza was born, he could never finish this song properly, and it drove me nuts
because you need three people for the song to work right. So now that our family has a third, he
very happily sings this song: "I love Lizzy, she loves me. . ."

Our first family picture.

Lizzy with two of her cousins, Sam and Beth.
(She still has two cousins she hasn't met, but is looking forward to meeting them this summer.)

One of Eliza's favorite places to sleep. Dallin can still watch his shows on the computer and I can get something done. Perfect and hands free.

One Week - Almost

We were planning on posting one week pictures. But by popular demand, and thanks to impatient aunts and grandmas, we are doing it a tad early. By the time anyone reads this, Lizzy will be one week old, but technically that's still about 4 hours away.

Eliza's first doctor visit. She was very well behaved. She screamed as we undressed her, as she always does, but didn't make a sound with the rectal temperature. Ironic.

Miss Eliza, thinking about sleeping. Already a thoughtful child.

Proof that the girl does cry. Grandma Susan didn't think she ever cried. Not true. But she is overall a very pleasant baby.

This is for Aunt Brittany. We were given so many cute outfits for Lizzy, but had a special request for pictures in this one. We think it's adorable and Lizzy liked it too. Thanks Drew and Brittany. Aunt Heidi made that hat!

A close up with her eyes open. She'll occasionally just sit and for an hour or two without sleeping or fussing.

This is one of our favorite pictures.

She's so small!

Eliza Joy Bagley

After nine months of Betsy being extremely uncomfortable and just a little cranky, we finally have our daughter. Eliza Joy Bagley was born January 3, 2009 at 12:53 AM. She weighed 7lbs 2oz and was 19.25in long. The 7 hour labor was easier for Betsy than she was expecting. (She has a tendency to plan for the worst so she can be surprised when things turn out good.) Eliza has a lot of dark hair, dark eyes, long fingers and toes, and a cute mole on her left thumb.

The first picture taken of Eliza. I think she's still in shock here. She looks better in real life,
especially after a bath.

Both Betsy and the baby are doing extremely well,
and are recovering very nicely. See, she already looks better.

She loves to cuddle up to whoever is holding her, and enjoys keeping her eyes open.
They let us go home and we are enjoying the comforts of home with Eliza.
