Highlights (Part 2)

. . . and we return.

We went back to Sand Beach on a warmer afternoon.
Lizzy was thrilled with the sand!

Dallin and Lizzy braving the cold waves.

Sunset on the Harbor.

We took a boat tour on Lulu's Lobster Boat.

This is Captain John, holding a fresh lobster.
He knew all sorts of interesting lobster and non-lobster facts.

It got foggy, but Lulu was able to get close enough to see the lighthouse.
And the white spots on the rocks are seals.

The sleeping kiddos, Lizzy and Annie.
Between Dramamine and the boat rocking, Lizzy had no hope.

The end of our trip was full of fog.
Dallin on the rocks at Bass Harbor.

This is a natural sea wall. Beautiful, but I almost didn't make it.

There were millions of spiders in the rocks, big ones.
I am apparently more arachnophobic than I thought.

The end.

Highlights (Part 1)

Yes, this is a 2 part blog.
We recently returned from our family vacation to Bar Harbor and Acadia.
As titled, here are the highlights.
There were a lot of pictures.

Running from the waves at Sand Beach.
You can't tell by Dallin's apparel, but it was cold.

Finding shells.

Our yummy dinner.

Top of Cadillac Mountain.

Our initial attempt at a cousin picture.
At least Annie and Jack stayed put.
Yes, that's Lizzy's shoe and backside crawling out of the picture.

It helped a little to have Aunt Sarah and Grandma in the picture -- a little.

Lizzy's favorite activity was throwing rocks in the water -- any water.
This happens to be Jordan Pond.

The typical throwing position.
Dallin picking up rocks and trying to keep Lizzy from falling in.

To be continued. . .
